Pyaskovsky Mikhail Grigorievich (1925-2012)
Soviet, Russian artist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. In 1953 he graduated from the art department of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography, Moscow. Since 1953 he lived and worked in Kaliningrad.
In 1971 he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor. In 2007 he was awarded the title of "People's Artist of Russia".
From 1960, he took an active part in zonal, republican and All-Union exhibitions, in collective exhibitions of works by Kaliningrad artists.
The artist's works are in the collections of: art museums in Kaliningrad, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Penza, Novosibirsk, Astrakhan, Volgograd, Lipetsk and other Russian cities. In the museums of Riga, Vilnius, Klaipeda, Gdansk, Warsaw, Helsinki, Marburg and private collections.
